Musiclip, the International Music, Audiovisual Arts and Music Videos Festival of Barcelona is an audiovisual initiative, always linked to music, which aims to offer the last international trends. Our festival pretends through its activities to strengthen the professionalism of the audiovisual sector and open its doors to novel directors.
Musiclip Festival organises its activities around the audiovisual scope, showing up the role of directors and their work behind cameras. That is why our festival was created in order to value the best works of the year through the international music videos contest. Moreover, the festival also includes other activities, with the objective of consolidating relations between professionals as well as being a refreshing meeting point of both working professionals and new international talents. For this reason Musiclip is more than just an international music videos contest, it is also an opened discussion to value which are the current opportunities and state of the audiovisual sector. During a week, Musiclip offers screenings, retrospectives, panel discussions, master classes, seminars and concerts.
This year, Musiclip Festival celebrated its third anniversary reaping huge success. The International Music Video Contest ’09 received more than 450 semi-finalists videos from over more than 25 countries, which demonstrates the international consolidation of the competition. Moreover, between 27th April and 3rd May 2009, audiovisual professionals with a huge experience offered seminars and round tables, activities with which once again beated records of audience.
